Seen this Jim (day 8)

Cheddleton Station

Seen this Jim
Dave asked me to send this pic. He reckons you won't have this one. I've now discovered the number. It's 33021 and the nameplate is 'Captain Charles' I suspect you knew that Jim. Here's a link to more information on this loco

A few pics of Cheddleton Station on the Churnet Valley Railway. Just standing here looking at the entire scene. It's amazing. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing and I used to think it was an illness!
The living past. You have to admire the people that make these things happen
Spotless, immaculate and timeless

After spending lunchtime here we wandered back to the aforementioned 'Black Lion' where the beer and company were first class. Having settled down to watch Crewe Alex our collective thinking was 'the worlds not a bad place after all' The Alex won of course and so it was a happy, although long, walk back to the boat and the evening ended off with food and a spot of fishing. All in all a good day

Hope to add a little video to this page when I'm eventually reunited with the camera leads which are currently a few hundred miles away
